HLA Alicante confirmed a new agreement with Arnau Parrado, a 22-year-old talent developed in the penya quarry, and he will join the Lucentian squad for the upcoming season. The Catalan guard-forward leaves Joventut de Badalona after a stint in LEB Oro with CB Prat on loan from Badalona, and is set to reinforce the Alicante project. In his final LEB Oro campaign with Prat, Parrado posted 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and a performance index rating of 9.5 per game, reflecting his scoring versatility and consistency on the floor.
Parrado stood out as one of the most promising youngsters in the league last season. He became a key component in ensuring the Catalan team maintained its grip on LEB Oro, showing maturity beyond his years and a readiness to contribute on both ends of the court.
Before his time with CB Prat, Parrado debuted in the Endesa League with Joventut during the Final Stage of the ACB. His ascent has included notable moments in European competition, including participation in the EuroCup with the Badalona club, contributing to his growing résumé at a young age.

Parrado established himself as a regular in Spain’s junior national teams, including the 2019 U20 Eurobasket where he helped the squad win silver, underscoring his potential at the international level.
Rafa Monclova expressed satisfaction with Parrado’s signing, noting that even at a young age he is already a player who developed through the FEB training system. He contributed solid numbers last season and averaged around 12 points per game. The Joventut connection to the ACB gives him exposure to top-level competition, and his experience outside the domestic league has been a notable part of his development. The club believes the move offers substantial growth opportunities, greater playing time, and a clear path to contribute more significantly next season. The outlook for Parrado at Alicante is framed as a chance to take a quality step forward in his pro career, with the club confident he will energize the roster and fan base through his ambition and potential growth trajectory. This signing marks HLA Alicante’s third major move, following the arrivals of Adrián Chapela and the renewal of Matulionis. Guillem and Llompart continue under contract, maintaining veteran continuity within the squad.
