An unusual year to be reborn
Lucentum Basketball Alicante Foundation renewed its sponsorship with HLA Hospital Group for the 2022-23 season. This alliance means the team will continue to carry the familiar HLA identity while competing in the LEB Oro, reinforcing the club’s growth trajectory and its home base in Alicante.
For the seventh consecutive season, HLA Group and Lugo have collaborated on the club’s project. Over the past six campaigns, the Lucentum club has built momentum under the HLA banner, achieving promotion to LEB Gold and advancing to notable cup finals such as the LEB Silver Cup, as well as Princess Cup semifinals and finals for promotion to the Endesa League. With HLA’s ongoing backing, the Alicante team secured its place in LEB Oro and is positioned to finish fourth in the second tier of national basketball in the upcoming season. The signing ceremony featured key figures including Concha Giner, medical director of HLA Vistahermosa; Antonio Gallego, president of the Lucentum Foundation; and Daniel Adriasola, Lucentum Alicante’s general manager. Gallego commented, “We appreciate HLA Group’s seventh season of partnership on this journey we began in LEB Plata, and we hope it paves the way to higher levels of competition.”

Daniel Adriasola, the managing director of Lucentum Alicante, underscored the value of a stable sponsor through the seventh season. He noted that HLA’s continued support has allowed the club to grow as an organization, expressing confidence that the collaboration will drive further progress, a path that began back in 2016.
Concha Giner expressed pride in renewing the official sponsorship and emphasized the shared commitment to Alicante and its basketball culture. She stated that residents deserve to see their team compete with the recognition it deserves, and the renewal will strengthen the connection between HLA Vistahermosa, HLA Alicante, and the fan base in the coming season. She highlighted the alliance as a pledge to sport and to the city of Alicante. HLA Hospital Group remains the primary sponsor of the men’s A team since the 2016-2017 season and serves as the official healthcare provider for the Lucentum Basketball Alicante Foundation, reinforcing the club’s support system and community ties.
