Medvedeva is a two-time Olympic silver medalist from the 2018 Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. She finished second in both the individual competition and the team event, trailing Alina Zagitova, who captured gold in the women’s singles by a single point. Those moments remain a reference point for contemporary fans, highlighting Medvedeva’s precision, artistry, and the intense competition that marked that Olympic cycle. Her achievements extended beyond the Olympics as she collected top honors on the world and continental stages, earning titles and medaled performances that underscored her enduring influence in the sport.

In addition to Olympic hardware, Medvedeva earned two gold medals from the World and European Championships, along with a bronze at the World Championships and a silver at the European Championships. She last competed in December 2019. In April 2023 Medvedeva announced her retirement. The skater has appeared on Ice Age twice. For the upcoming season, Zagitova will not participate as a host, and a new co-hosting arrangement with Alexei Yagudin is planned. This shift in hosting duties reflects a broader evolution in the show while keeping Medvedeva at the center of the celebration.

The show, dedicated to Medvedeva’s 25th anniversary, will take place on November 15 at the CSKA Arena in Moscow. The event is positioned as a milestone in the skater’s career, blending performances, storytelling, and remarkable choreography that reflect years of training and competing at the highest level. Earlier, Medvedeva explained the motivation behind a candid photo shoot, describing it as a creative choice to share a more personal side of her life with fans who have followed her journey across continents and competitions.
