“Elche Night Race” sets new participation benchmarks
Goals
The ambition for Elche Night Race 2024 is to attract 3,500 entries. The organizers are hopeful that the trend from the first two editions will continue, drawing participants from across the country while the majority still comes from Elche, Alicante, Murcia and Albacete. The event maintains a strong female participation rate, with women making up about 40% of registrants, underscoring growing interest among female runners. In its brief history, the Elche Night Race has emerged as a standout event in the Valencian Community, rivaling the most popular night races in the region.
The sports director noted that the early results have generated high satisfaction after the first ten days of registrations, reflecting a strong start for the event.
Organizers described the path forward: “Doubling the early registration numbers sets a clear responsibility to host a top-tier race that brings a premier sporting event to the city of Elche. The team will dedicate the next six months to ensure the event surpasses its ambitious goal, aiming for more than 3,500 runners at the Elche Night Race in 2024.”
