Elche fans shine with unwavering support
Elche CF fans, even in the face of relegation, keep the energy high and the celebrations alive. The Franciverde community remains optimistic and ready to party, proving that loyalty transcends results.
The Federation overseeing fan activities continues to push forward its long-term plan, marking milestones with pride as the club reaches its centennial year. The momentum began in January, with the commemoration of the Franciverde club’s enduring presence and its rich history. Subsequent efforts included visiting multiple towns across the region with players, hosting a grand fan gala on April 26 at a major theater, and a series of community events. A contest for draw designs and a Monday visit to the first team’s training with local schoolchildren added to the ongoing calendar of initiatives.

This Sunday promises a vibrant celebration, with a dedicated Fan Zone set up along Paseo de la Estación to mark a century of passion for Franjiverde. The program features music, surprises, and family-friendly entertainment, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all ages. The match against Atlético de Madrid, scheduled for 16:15, has led organizers to shift activities to begin at 20:00 so the events can flow smoothly. At 9:50, a musical parade will accompany a procession along the Paseo de la Estación, where arranged tents will host a variety of activities.
Families can enjoy children’s inflatables from 10:00 to 15:00, with additional entertainment from 11:00 to 13:00. Face painting and children’s workshops will engage younger fans throughout the afternoon. At noon, a pyrotechnic display will light the scene, a tradition born from the club’s history, culminating in a spectacular mascletá for boys and girls and a final burst of giant candies and piñatas to celebrate the day.
From 13:00, a large paella will be served to feed a thousand attendees, followed by the day’s biggest moment at 14:00, the mascletá in honor of Elche Football Club and its devoted supporters dressed in green and white.

Gifts and stalls from various clubs will line the route, and a beverage bar will offer soft drinks and beer at a symbolic price of one euro. The Peñas Federation president commented on the mood surrounding the relegation, noting that Elche is an emotion beyond standings and leagues. The events have been crafted with long-held enthusiasm and are now coming to life as planned, with a promise of memorable moments for all attendees. The federation emphasizes that the events are open to every fan, whether they have a subscription or not, inviting anyone who feels connected to the green and white to join and share in the joy of the day, including a grand theater premiere as a highlight of the experience.
