Famous former local football player Dmitry Bulykin, who represented Moscow Lokomotiv and Dinamo as well as numerous clubs abroad, including Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, Anderlecht in Belgium, and Ajax in the Netherlands, offered his remarks in a comment to socialbites.ca. He stated that Lokomotiv’s former midfielder Infielder Alexis Beka-Beka may confront significant challenges in his professional path ahead following a suicide attempt.
“The young player requires tailored psychological support, but such care should be coordinated by the club’s medical staff. In Europe, football clubs routinely have psychologists on staff. If the team doctor had detected warning signs earlier, he might have referred him to a mental health professional. It is difficult to comment without understanding all the nuances involved. I genuinely feel for the young footballer who was with Lokomotiv. Right now, the priority is to monitor his situation and see how things unfold,” Bulykin commented.
Beka-Beka spent one season with Lokomotiv, appearing in 21 Russian Premier League matches, providing 3 assists, and later transferring to Nice for a transfer fee of 12 million euros. The player appeared in 14 Ligue 1 matches for the French club last season but has not yet taken the field this season.
