The Catalan who opened the scoring in the Luis de la Fuente era will miss the clash with Glasgow.

Dani Olmo etched his name in Spain’s history with a goal during the first game under the current Spain coach, contributing to a 3-0 victory in the euro qualifying match for Germany 2024. That memorable strike marked the start of a new chapter for La Roja, even if Olmo played a small part overall. In the upcoming fixture against Scotland, the Catalan will not be part of the squad.

The Leipzig forward is dealing with physical issues that prevented him from completing a full training session at Hampden Park on the eve of the match. As a result, Luis de la Fuente decided to omit Olmo from the squad traveling to face Scotland.

Another omission in this squad selection is Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde. Jose Luis Gayá is slated to take the left-back position, allowing David García and Borja Iglesias, who were not picked for the opening match of this stage, to rejoin the 23-man group.
