WHEN DOES THE REPECHAJE STAGE OF THE 2023 LIBERTADORES CUP START?

Conmebol announced the schedule for the opening round, which is set to feature matches on Wednesday 8 February and Wednesday 15 February. The second round follows on 22 February and 1 March, with the third round of crossovers scheduled for 8 March and 15 March.

HOW ARE THE REPECHAJE PHASES OF THE 2023 LIBERTADORES CUP LIKE?

Each phase uses home-and-away legs, and the pairings are decided by a draw conducted before the start of that stage. Six clubs from the leagues of Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela begin in the first round, with the winners advancing to the next phase. Sixteen teams proceed to the second round, including three survivors from phase one. The remaining spots are filled by clubs from Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela, plus two teams joining from Brazil, Chile, and Colombia.

The third round features eight teams—the winners from the second round matches—in a final hurdle. The four victors earn a place in the group stage, filling the last positions in the Libertadores group phase.
