Equality Plan and gender crimes

Several political groups have filed a request with Congress to establish a Commission of Inquiry into alleged irregularities linked to the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The aim is to scrutinize the events and determine responsibility for actions that may have impacted the federation’s image, especially in relation to its mission to promote grassroots football and cultivate talent within the sport.

A private association declaring itself in the public interest receives funds from public coffers. It is expected to remain aligned with its foundational principles, statutes, and the governing laws that apply to organizations governed by public administration collaboration. The discussion centers on transparency and accountability as essential elements in the federation’s operations.

Equality Plan and gender crimes

The document, signed by representatives of several parties, notes that the Commission will investigate issues including possible conduct that could constitute gender crimes within the RFEF’s structure, adherence to the RFEF’s Equal Opportunities Plan for men and women, alleged irregularities in the compensation received by RFEF managers, and possible improper or unfair expenses incurred by some managers.

The Commission will also consider implementing control and transparency measures to prevent future irregularities. The working period for the Commission is set at six months, after which it will be presented to the General Assembly for discussion and approval. If an agreement is reached, the Congress Board will refer the matter to the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor for necessary actions.
