How many Intercontinentals does Real Madrid have?

Real Madrid stands as the club with the most titles across both the Club World Cup and the Intercontinental Cup when viewed as a single, combined record. The Madrid side claimed the Intercontinental Cup three times.

There have been two occasions when Real Madrid did not win the tournament. The first came in 1966, when they were defeated in the Intercontinental final by Peñarol in a two-legged affair (2-0 and 0-2). The second was in 2000, during the era of the Intercontinental Cup, when they fell 2-1 to Boca Juniors, with Martín Palermo delivering a decisive brace.
