ALL THE CHILE CUP 2024 ACTION AND QUALIFIERS

The weekend of March 10 marks the kickoff of the traditional Chile Cup, a tournament that grants Chile 4 a spot in the second phase of the 2024 Copa Libertadores. The first round of this long-standing competition brings together clubs from all divisions, with its last champion being Magellan, and the next matches set to begin on Friday, March 10 in a two-legged format.

With matchups including Puente Alto Municipal versus Deportes Colina and Santiago City against Aguará, the 43rd edition of this knockout competition gets underway. The goal of the opening phase is to determine the eight teams that will advance to the next stage.

In total, 16 clubs from the Third Division enter the tournament. They will be joined by the 10 regional ANFA champions, while four top clubs from the northern region await in the second phase. In that round, the 16 qualifiers face teams from the Ascenso Championship, and the victors will then meet First Division members.

It is worth noting that the winning team earns the right to play in the second stage of the 2024 Copa Libertadores as Chile 4, and also secures a spot to contest the Super Cup against the First Division champion.
