Barco Joins Spartak Moscow, Emulates Messi-Driven Dribbling Style

Spartak Moscow has announced Ezequiel Barco as a new addition to the squad. He identifies Lionel Messi as a guiding influence and role model in his development.

Barco said his ongoing aim is to sharpen his dribbling and ball control so he can execute creative tricks in every game. He named stars like Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe as players he admires, noting that they consistently display strong dribbling and rapid feet in tight spaces.

The midfielder featured in 28 matches across all competitions for River Plate last season, contributing two goals and seven assists. Barco has represented Argentina at the Under-20 and Under-23 levels and has earned three caps with the Olympic national team.

The RPL opener between Spartak and Orenburg took place on July 21 at Gazovik Stadium in Orenburg, finishing 2-0 in favor of the home side.

Looking ahead, Spartak is scheduled to travel to Khimki for the following round. The game against Khimki near Moscow is set for July 28 at Arena Khimki, with kickoff at 15:00 Moscow time.

Earlier announcements confirmed Barco’s switch to Spartak Moscow, marking a new chapter as the club reinforces its attacking midfield options.
