A 21-year-old right back from Los Angeles Galaxy is set to join the Culé squad.
On the final day of the transfer window, Barcelona, led by Xavi Hernandez, could welcome Julian Araújo from MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy. Born in Lompoc, California, he holds dual nationality with Mexico.

Although he spent his early years in the United States youth system, he played with the U.S. at the 2019 U20 World Cup after repeatedly turning down a call to the senior team from Gregg Berhalter. He ultimately debuted for Mexico this year after being called up by Tata Martino, though he was not selected for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
At 21, Araújo had spent his entire professional career with the Galaxy. After two appearances for the reserve squad, he stepped up to the first team, tallying 109 appearances across three seasons, with two goals and 14 assists. His development included time at a Barça Academy program in the United States.
Barcelona’s scouting has kept an eye on the young winger since last summer, and Xavi Hernandez could have him available for the second half of the season, especially amid reports of a possible departure for Héctor Bellerín to Sporting de Portugal as noted by Marca.
