Former Moscow Spartak footballer Andrey Yeshchenko may face housing instability, staying without a permanent flat. This update comes from the Telegram channel Mutko vs, which has been tracking the case and sharing details as they emerge.
According to the report, the legal troubles stem from issues involving Yeshchenko’s wife and her ex-husband. The ex-husband was convicted of financial fraud, leading to the state confiscating property belonging to his family. In parallel, there is a move to seize the apartment Yeshchenko purchased with his own money; his Krasnodar property has already been subject to arrest. Yeshchenko has actively defended his rights in court, arguing that his personal property should be exempt from confiscation. Despite these efforts, the authorities have not yet ruled in his favor.
On the field, Andrey Yeshchenko wore Spartak colors from 2016 through 2021, appearing in 89 matches and scoring a single goal. While with the red-and-white, he contributed to a Russian championship title in 2017. Following the conclusion of his playing career, he joined Spartak’s coaching staff, and by the summer of 2022 he had taken on the role of assistant coach at Spartak Academy, continuing his involvement with the club beyond his playing days.
Earlier reports mentioned Flamengo acquiring the transfer of defender Ayrton from Spartak, illustrating the ongoing player movement surrounding the club during that period (source attribution: Mutko vs).
