This morning, Aminata Diallo, a midfielder with French and Guinean roots, made a notable move during the winter transfer window. The agreement with the Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate was publicly discussed last year due to her involvement in the Hamraoui case. The controversy surrounded an incident on the night of November 4, 2021, when Diallo was accused of organizing and instigating an attack on her teammate Kheira Hamraoui.
Diallo received a sentence of 36 hours in prison in connection with the case. She has consistently maintained her innocence in a situation that remains unresolved. Through all the twists, she has asserted that she did not participate in planning or carrying out the attack, and she continues to deny any wrongdoing.

Details from the period show that a Paris presence was described by allies as meant to support the team’s dressing room atmosphere. The defense faced questions after hooded men allegedly attacked the player with a metal bar, an incident that led to an emergency room visit. A relative of Hamraoui described that around 10:30 pm, when Diallo was in a car near Hamraoui’s residence, two masked men appeared. Police pursued inquiries and urged PSG to issue an official statement clarifying the events.
Diallo, a midfielder of Guinean descent, faced charges of aggravated violence and complicity. She remained in custody until released under judicial supervision as the case continued to unfold.
Experience
The Guinean-born midfielder built her experience through a loan spell in the French league and later joined Atlético de Madrid in January 2021. The club went on to win the Spanish Super Cup while she was sidelined by an injury, marking a notable period in her career against Levante.
Diallo began her football journey with Olympique Lyonnais’s youth teams, later playing for clubs such as Arras and En Avant de Guingamp. She was part of the Paris squad that won the French Cup in 2018, reached a Champions League final after Lyon’s run, and had a loan spell with the Utah Royals in the United States’ NWSL.
In the French league, Diallo accumulated 135 appearances and scored five goals. Her Champions League tally was 22 matches. On the international stage, she earned seven caps with the French senior team and was part of the European Under-19 squad that claimed the title in 2013 with a 2-0 victory over England, contributing a goal in the final.
