The football club Alania from Vladikavkaz will not join the Russian Premier League (RPL) on sports merit if the team earns promotion to the top tier. This was reported by the Telegram channel Against Mutko.
The source states that Vladikavkaz’s club cannot play in the RPL because of home ground issues. Alania has not kept quiet about the need for a license from the RPL, explaining that renovations of the stadium will require at least another year. Reports say finishing and utility works at the stadium have not yet begun. Even though the structural pillars remain unsealed, there are corroded fittings in the arena that raise concerns about safety and compliance.
In the First League standings, Alania sits in third place with 51 points after 29 matches and remains in contention for promotion, though the licensing and infrastructure obstacles could complicate their ascent.
Former widely recognized agent Alexei Safonov offered his perspective on the Torpedo club, noting that the people involved in the organization play a significant role in the team’s results for Muscovites, with a focus on internal dynamics that may influence performance.
