Many waited for detailed technical materials for the upcoming launch of the GeForce RTX 5060, planned for May 19, 2025, but they would probably not be. The reason is simple: the NVIDIA company did not provide the press drivers in advance, making it impossible to fully test the card before admission.
This situation was announced by the editor of the Laboratory of the Igor Technical Portal Igor Vallossek. According to him, he has a sample device, but it is useless to perform objective measurements without a working driver. This is especially important when testing architectural innovations and memory configurations, because RTX 5060 is supplied with 8 GB of Video, which requires accurate coordination and compatibility on software content.

The situation is also complicated by the fact that the release of the driver will take place at the same time with the card exit – May 19. This coincides on time with the Computex 2025 exhibition, which will be concerned with many specialized journalists and analysts. So, even after the driver’s appearance, most experts will not get the chance to fully test it quickly.
This approach from Nvidia raises questions: It seems that a company consciously limits an independent investigation in the beginning. This is possible to play – a delay in reviews does not exclude criticism, but only turns it off. Moreover, the video cards are already in the hands of individual observers and the only barrier for publication is the lack of drivers.
⚡️ Repo to the new card can already be tested
