CSKA’s former head coach Ilya Vorobiov appreciated her work in an army club. His words lead “Championship”.
“The complex season has changed many things in both the club and the team. For example, the composition was greatly updated. Many aspects turned out to be tense. For various reasons, we lost our leading players and team leaders during the season,” he said.
29 April CSKA Sent Vorobyov resigned from his chief coach.
Vorobyov worked for the team less than a year and chaired the army club before the start of the 2024/25 season in the Continental Hockey League.
Under his leadership, the Ordu Club ranked fifth at the KHL Western Conference after the results of the regular championship. The team has 85 points in 68 games. The club entered the playoffs, but in the first round he flew from the Gagarin Cup. The army lost to Dynamo Minsk, teams made six matches and the series ended with 2-4.
Currently, in the KHL playoffs Yaroslavl Lokomotiv and Ufa Salavat Yulaev (1-0 series), as well as semi-finals, Chelyabinsk tractors and Moscow Dinamo (account in 1-0 series).
