“This ridiculous”: Olympic champion 18:20 abandoned its neutral status

Taekwondo Olympic champion Maxim Khramtsov said he refused to speak in international competitions under impartial status. His words lead Ria Novosti.

“This is ridiculous and I think unfair. My position so far – I refuse to speak under an impartial flag in the international arena,” he said.

The athlete won a personal license to participate in the 2024 games in Paris, but the International Olympic Committee (IOC) rejected him and three more Russian Taekwondis about performance in games.
