According to Insiders, Sony actively develops the PlayStation 6 line, which can not only include the home, but also the portable version of the console. According to information from the authoritative source of Keperl2, published on Neogaf, the mobile PS6 is given the opportunity to launch games with PS5 without the mandatory participation of developers.
The portable device, according to leaks, uses compatibility at the Shader instructions level, with which you can start theoretically old games “out of the box”. But without improvements, users can prevent a decrease in the frequency of staff or high energy consumption. This is due to the fact that the mobile version of the PS6 is inferior at the basic PS5 in power, although it exceeds the Xbox series S.
The basis of the system will be the AMD chipset with the number of computer units (CU) less than 40, designed for operation at low voltage. Such a solution is probably focused on balance between autonomy and performance. For comparison: Xbox Series S has 20 CU, but the PS6 architecture, even in a portable size, will be more modern.

Less is known about the stationary version of the console. Insiders suggest that Sony is planning to make the leader of the generation because of the improved trail of rays and the integration of machine learning. This can open new opportunities for games, for example an intelligent AI of opponents or dynamic adjustment of content.
There are no official announcement data yet. Analysts agree that the release of both versions PS6 will probably not take place earlier than 2027. Such a long cycle can be associated with the desire of Sony to carefully test the concept of a portable console, which, if successfully, will expand the PlayStation ecosystem without crushing the public. Although the information remains at the level of rumors, but if Sony plans are confirmed, this is the first over the years that the company brings back to the segment of the portable devices after PS Vita.
