Large companies, such as Huawei, whose Emui Shell is still based on Android 12, can afford to allocate means to solve this problem. For many brands, especially with a disability, such a work will become impractical. Experts note that, even when issuing corrections, a number of vulnerabilities that are not indicated in official ballot papers will not be eliminated because Google has stopped safety analysis for these versions.
The owners of the devices on Android 12 and 12L advise to consider the transition to current versions of the OS or the replacement of the gadget. Although Google Services and individual modules can be updated, the core of the system remains vulnerable to attacks. If the update is impossible, such a device is only recommended for secondary tasks – for example as a media player or home room.
