Sony continues to develop Cloud Gaming for the PlayStation Portable Device without advertising large -scale scale announcements. A year and a half after the start of the beta tests of the streaming service, dozens of cult projects of the PS Plus Premium -Catalogus, including PS1 and PSP -Hits, were added to the library. Now the owners of the gadget in nostalgia can dive, starting on the portable screen such as legends such as Monkey escaping, Tekken 2 and Legend or Dragoon, without the need to use the PlayStation 5.
Initially, the device was criticized for limited functionality – the screen only worked as an external terminal for PS5. The Update 2024 of November, however, played the idea of the device: Cloud Striming allowed to broadcast games directly from Sony servers. Now, with the expansion of the library, Portal is an independent platform for retro gaming, although access premium (from $ 17.99/month (around 1500 rubles)).

The service remains in beta status and only works in 30 regions, including the VK, Japan, the US and most EU countries. Russia and a number of other states are not yet on the list of support. Sony recommends an internet speed of at least 15 Mbps for stable effect, so that the gadget depends on the quality of the connection. It is remarkable that the company contains no information about the expansion of the catalog to the official announcements of PS Plus. On March 18, for example, three parts were added to Striming Armored core from software, and earlier – updated versions Siphon filter and Medieval.
The device, released in November 2023, soon became a shortage due to excitement and speculators. Streaming Updeportal, making it a universal tool for fans of classics and modern projects – has been added this week in PS Plus Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. So far, Sony does not reveal the deadline for the dismissal of the cloud service from the beta test, but it is clear: experiments with retro games are only the first step to the PlayStation Portal transformation.
