The house of Russian Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin was robbed. Journalist Jennifer Borrasso reported this on her page on the social network X, citing her own sources.
Thieves stole three championship rings from the 38-year-old hockey player. Malkin won the title with the Penguins in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
According to KDKA TV channel, the robbery occurred on January 12 during the Pittsburgh game against the Ottawa Senators. The back door of Malkin’s house was broken into and the alarms and cameras were turned off during the burglary. The emergency call came a few hours after the fight.
Malkin has played for the Penguins since 2006; He spent the 2012/13 season in Metallurg. In mid-November 2024, Pittsburgh held a special ceremony to honor Malkin’s 500 NHL goal.
