MTS surprised gamers by presenting its first game console for cloud gaming yesterday, December 27. Already 14 hours after the start of sales, all devices from the first batch were completely sold out. The new product, running on the MTS Fog Play platform, attracted the attention of gamers with its affordable price – only 4,990 rubles. According to a statement from MTS management, a new batch of consoles will go on sale within two days.
According to preliminary data, the greatest demand for the set-top box was registered in Moscow and the region, where 65% of the devices were sold. In second place is Saint Petersburg (10%), followed by Novosibirsk (6%), Kazan (5%) and Krasnodar (4.5%).
The MTS console is built on an Amlogic S905Y4 chip and is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. It supports Full HD resolution at 60 FPS and its use requires a stable internet connection with a speed of at least 30 Mbps. Authorization is carried out through the MTS Fog Play service by telephone number.
