“Nothing is over yet until I say so myself. I dedicated this season to my family and other areas of my life. I plan to run a few marathons. I’ll definitely let you know when I’m done,” Stupak said.

Previously, the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe expressed the opinion that Stupak would not return to the sport.

Stupak, 28, won a gold medal in the relay and two bronze medals at the 2022 Olympic Games. He is also a three-time world championship medalist.

The organization decided to admit Russians and Belarusians to the 2024 Olympic Games as neutral athletes at the end of 2023. To participate, they had to meet a series of requirements and qualify. Medals of Russians and Belarusians were not taken into account in the unofficial medal tally.
