Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Alexander Selikhov highly appreciated the chance of his teammate, 26-year-old goalkeeper Alexander Maksimenko, to sign a contract with a European team. Quotes from Selikhov legal betting.
“If Vitaly Vitalievich Kafanov (goalkeeping coach of the Russian national team – socialbites.ca) believes that the next Russian goalkeeper to move to Europe could be Sasha Maksimenko, then I can only agree with this. I can’t answer whether Maksimenko wants to play in the European championship, because only he knows that, but he definitely has such a chance,” said the 30-year-old goalkeeper.
Previously, Kafanov said that Maksimenko could move to a team from Europe’s top championships in the next two years.
Maksimenko’s contract with Spartak is valid until the summer of 2025. He will be able to negotiate with other teams starting from January, and if he does not extend his contract with the red and whites, he will be able to transfer to a new club for free in the summer.
The goalkeeper played in 11 matches for Spartak this season, conceding nine goals and keeping goal six times.
Earlier, the Dinamo goalkeeper said: all young goalkeepers may leave Russia.
