Google has finally introduced a series of features to Android smartphones that will make accessing data more difficult. However, some of them only work on OS versions of at least “ten” and not for all devices.

In May, Google announced a slew of security features that will protect you from data loss or help you find a stolen smartphone. As Reddit users noticed, the promised functionality began to be rolled out to devices gradually. For example, on Xiaomi 14T Pro it became possible to lock a smartphone if it is stolen and in offline mode. In some cases this can be done remotely.

According to The Verge, the most interesting innovation was automatic blocking in the event of theft. The function is based on AI: the program registers unusual movements, such as snatching the device from your hand. In this case, the smartphone will be blocked immediately.

Not all device owners have received the new features yet. By the way, some of the functionality only works with the latest versions of the operating system. For example, for remote blocking you need an Android version not lower than version 5, and to record the fact of theft – Android 10 and above.

Previously, some smartphones had already received a stable version of Android 15. The full release of the operating system will not take place until October 15th.

Press the button, you get the result – and your dream will come true-ah-ah…
