Ufa Salavat Yulaev forward Gleb Kuzmin was carried away on a stretcher during the match against Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The video of that moment was published Team Telegram channel.
In the middle of the second 20 minutes of the match, Kuzmin lost his balance and hit his head on the boards during a challenge with Avangard defender Darren Dietz. The hockey player left the ice on a stretcher and was taken to the hospital for examination.
“Salavat Yulaev” won this match with a score of 4:2 (2:1, 1:0, 1:1).
In the current KHL season, 27-year-old Kuzmin has scored one goal and made one assist.
After five games played, Salavat Yulaev is in second place in the KHL Eastern Conference with eight points. Leader Neftekhimik has the same number of points but a better goal difference.
The current champions of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) are Metallurg Magnitogorsk. In the final, they won a landslide victory over Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in the KHL play-off final Gagarin Cup. Metallurg won four games in a row and closed the final series with a score of 4–0.
