Russian specialist Sergei Tashuev became the new head coach of the Akhmat football club from Grozny. This is reported by The team’s official Telegram channel.
“We wish Sergei Abuezidovich good luck and victories in his homeland!” – Akhmat said in a statement.
Tashuev, 65, coached the Grozny team from September 2022 to August 2023.
On September 1, it became known that Magomed Adiev left the post of head coach of the Grozny team.
Adiev took over the Grozny club in April 2024 and began to combine duties – he also coached the Kazakhstan national team. Akhmat fulfilled the task set by Akhmat’s management to maintain his place in the Russian Championship, having finished tenth in the Russian Premier League (RPL) standings at the end of the 2023/24 season. On May 31, 2024, Adiev announced his retirement from the Kazakhstan national team due to family reasons.
In the seventh round of the RPL, the Grozny club drew with Akron Togliatti, the match ended with a score of 0-0. According to the results of the completed rounds, Akhmat is in the penultimate 15th place, in the relegation zone. The team has five points; the team lost twice and drew five times.
In the next round of the Russian Championship, Akhmat will play away against Dynamo Moscow. The match will be played on September 15 and the starting whistle will blow at 14:15 Moscow time.
