“She is a talented person and ahead of everyone else’s time to continue jumping. Quadruple jumping with separate elements is not like in the box office. As a separate element, yes, it is successful. I don’t really believe in it in the box office yet. No, I don’t think so,” Tarasova said.

On July 14, Trusova announced that she plans to perform at the Russian national team’s test skates. The preseason screening of the programs will be held in St. Petersburg on September 14-15.
Trusova won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing, losing to compatriot Anna Shcherbakova. Japan’s Kaori Sakamoto finished in the top three. Before the awards ceremony, Trusova refused to go to the ceremony and emotionally stated that she would never go on the ice again.
