Alexandra Trusova spent her last summer vacation in Thailand with figure skater Mark Kondratyuk, who won a bronze medal in the Beijing 2022 Olympics team tournament.
“This is my first young man, and I hope he is the only one,” Trusova said about him in the Youtube program “Cooking Bravely” with Laysan Utyasheva.
Young people began life together, Trusova left the group of Eteri Tutberidze in CSKA, where her lover trained, and dedicated a song and video “Two Wings” to him, saying: “I live only with him.”

All of this suddenly faded in August last year when Kondratyuk announced Trusova’s departure.
“Mark made the decision and confronted me with a truth: ‘This is it, I’m not ready anymore.'”
For a very long time I tried to return everything as it was, so I didn’t say anything anywhere, I didn’t write anything, I tried to somehow get past this information,” Trusova said in an interview with Okko Sport.
According to the skater, it took four months for her to come to her senses.
Meanwhile, the personal life of the famous St. Petersburg figure skater Makar Ignatov was also bursting at the seams.
For several years he has been in a serious relationship with a girl named Lera: the couple managed to live together, get a dog and even give a joint interview to Channel One in October 2023.
But that same fall, everything suddenly collapsed: young people deleted photos together and stopped following each other on social networks.
And then there was a sensation.
An unexpected kiss
In January 2024, Trusova suddenly came from Moscow to the St. Petersburg Championship. Fans in the stands wondered why the athlete decided to participate in this tournament.
Bronze medalist Makar Ignatov answered all the questions and after the award ceremony, overcome with emotion, leaned over to Trusova and kissed her. At that moment, the girl was carefully holding his jacket.
Fans recorded this moment on video and the secret love was immediately revealed.
Sport Express reported that the couple started dating before Christmas.
Apparently, young people met through their joint participation in Evgeni Plushenko’s ice fairy tale “The Snow Maiden”, where they played lovers. After the performance, Trusova posted on social networks a photo where Ignatov holds her in his arms.
The fact that Ignatov has been a good friend of Trusova’s ex-boyfriend, Mark Kondratyuk, for many years did not stop the young people.
In an interview with Channel One, Ignatov called Kondratyuk “his mother’s friend’s son” and noted who was the exemplary guy in their friendly company.
The figure skater said that she remained in warm relations with Kondratyuk on the eve of her wedding with Trusova.
“We are adults and after many years of good relations we are not going to waste our time with any complaints,” Ignatov told RIA Novosti.
Trusova said “I do” after six months of dating
The romance of the skaters developed very rapidly. Ignatov broke up with his long-time coach Evgeniy Rukavitsyn and moved to Moscow with Trusova to begin training at the Evgeni Plushenko Academy.
Such changes in life signaled the athlete’s very serious intentions – and he proved this on June 17, when he proposed to Trusova after about six months of dating.
Ignatov invited the girl on a romantic trip on a yacht and unexpectedly knelt down against the backdrop of a beautiful suspension bridge in St. Petersburg.
“I thought the photographer was taking a photo of me, then I turned around… and voila… My brain just shut down. I was overwhelmed with emotions and joy… “Yes,” Trusova also shared on social networks.
After 10 days, young people applied to the registry office and began to actively talk about their relationship on social networks.
So they congratulated each other very beautifully on their birthdays: Ignatov celebrates on June 21, and Trusova on June 23. Later, the skaters went on their first trip together to Thailand.
Very soon the couple will go on a second trip and have a wedding right away.
What is known about the wedding
Skaters announced the date of the celebration in an original way: they danced in a duet on the street and after a sharp turn showed the numbers on their shirts – 17.08.
As Trusova reported on social networks, the event took place in a former estate in the Moscow region and there were about 100 guests.
The skaters had their wedding rings made to order in St. Petersburg.
“There will be an engraving inside that is very important to us,” the skater said.
The silver medalist of the Games also showed a sketch of a wedding dress, which she worked on together with producer Yana Rudkovskaya, wife of Evgeni Plushenko, who was actively involved in organizing the wedding.
“Thank you to our fairy Yana Alexandrovna for making dreams come true! It’s so exciting and beautiful!” – wrote the skater.
In addition, Trusova has already shared some photos from the wedding photo shoot. The athlete also decided to take her husband’s surname; after the official ceremony, the figure skater went out to Ignatova to join the guests of the ceremony.
All that remains is to wish the couple many years of marriage and success in sports.

A tall brunette with a soulful look always stood out among most skaters, but the first to notice Ignatov’s model appearance was Olympic champion Alexey Yagudin.
