In the up to 57 kg weight class, Yutin defeated Julia Sheremeta from Poland by unanimous decision.
Khelif failed a gender test at the IBA World Championships in India a year ago, and Taiwan’s Lin Yuting also failed a similar test at that championship. The International Olympic Committee later approved both athletes’ participation in the Games.
