French judoka Teddy Riner is a five-time Olympic champion, winning the gold medal in the mixed doubles over 100 kg category.
In the final, the French team defeated the Japanese team with a score of 4:3.
In one of the quarterfinal fights, Riner met with South Korean representative Lee Yong Hwan, who turned out to be 83 kg lighter against 145 for the Frenchman.
According to the rules of the team tournament, you can compete any athlete against anyone.
Riner won the medal in 2012, 2016 and 2020. This was her second gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
