Dynamo Makhachkala football player Serder Serderov said that the level of the Russian Premier League (RPL) has decreased over the last 10 years. The athlete’s words stand out “Match TV”.
“Absolutely. Before that, the last time I played in the RPL was in 2013, it was at a completely different level, much higher than the current level. And this applies to all teams. The foreigners and everyone in general were stronger,” Serderov admitted.
Dynamo Makhachkala finished second in the First League with 61 points in the 2023/24 season. This result allowed the team under head coach Khasanbi Bijiev to qualify directly for the Russian Premier League (RPL).
In the first round of the RPL, the Makhachkala team drew with Khimki near Moscow, who were promoted to the First League at the end of the 2023/24 season. The meeting ended with a score of 1:1. In the second round, Dynamo drew 0-0 with Krasnodar.
In the third round of the Russian Championship, Dynamo will compete with Paris Nizhny Novgorod. The game will be played on August 4 and will start at 20:30 Moscow time.
