Figure skater Kamila Valieva was a guest on Channel 1’s “Dreamtallion” and announced a program about her journey that she will share with blogger Karina Cross.
“We won’t just collect folklore. First of all, there are many holidays in different regions that many people do not even know about. We will have dance, music and sports performances; all traditions unite. “We want to show all the beauties of our big, beautiful Russia,” Valieva said.
On January 29, 2024, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) found Valieva guilty of doping and disqualified the athlete. He will not be able to compete in tournaments until December 2025. He also can’t practice at state skating rinks.
On February 7, 2024, CAS published its reasoning in the Valieva case. In addition to the banned trimetazidine, three permitted substances were found in the skater’s blood. These are more than 50 supplements with ecdysterone, hypoxene and L-carnitine.
The figure skater was deprived of the gold medal of the Russian and European Championships in the team tournament, as well as the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Beijing.
