At the official opening of Moscow “Lokomotiv” Youtube channel Striker Artem Dzyuba released a video in his honor.
The club has pieced together the striker’s most memorable goals and play as part of the “railway workers” whose departure was announced on the afternoon of 29 May.
“Thank you Artem!” — these words ended the video clip.
Dziuba’s contract with Lokomotiv expires at the end of the 2023/24 season. The contract was not automatically renewed due to Dzyuba’s violation of the specified conditions regarding the number of effective actions that must be performed.
The 35-year-old striker played in 26 matches in all competitions in the 2023/24 season, scoring 4 goals and making 4 assists. At the end of the season, Lokomotiv ranked fourth in the Russian Premier League (RPL) by collecting 53 points.
Dzyuba moved to the Moscow club in February 2023. The striker was without a team for several months after the termination of his contract with Turkish club Adana Demirspor, before moving to the Moscow team.
