Coach Tatyana Tarasova: I do not support Wiener’s statement, I will support the Russians in the Olympics 13:48

Tatyana Tarasova, the honored coach of the USSR in figure skating, did not agree with the words of the president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFKhG) Irina Viner, that the Russian people will not forgive the athletes who went to Paris. Olympics, reports “Sports Express”.

“I do not share Irina Alexandrovna’s point of view. Most of the time though, I agree with him on everything and I respect and love him very much. “I will support athletes who want to participate in the Games,” Tarasova said.

At the end of February 2022, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to international sports federations, recommending that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions.

The organization said that in 2023 Russian athletes will be required to sign updated terms of participation, which include a commitment to respect the Olympic Charter, including the “peaceful mission of the Olympic movement”.
