Former Spartak Moscow head coach says he is respected in Moscow Voice of Coaches.
“If I return to Moscow after coaching Spartak, people will shake my hand because they respect me. Not only as a coach, but also as a person,” Tedesco said.
Tedesco took charge of Spartak from 2019 to 2021. The red-whites finished the 2020/21 season in second place under his leadership. He was appointed head coach of RB Leipzig in December 2021. He was sacked following the Champions League defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in September 2022.
He took charge of the Belgium national team in February 2023. In the new coach’s first match, the team defeated Sweden with a score of 3-0. Romelu Lukaku scored a hat-trick.
In this season of the Russian Championship, Spartak is in sixth place with 31 points. The red-whites, coached by Guillermo Abascal, will face Ural Yekaterinburg in the next match. The meeting will take place on March 30.
