In the quarter-final match of the Gagarin Cup playoff series, Spartak Moscow defeated Metallurg with a score of 1:0. The only goal of this match came from Ansel Galimov in the 49th minute.
After this victory, the red-whites equalized the series score with Metallurg 2:2. The next match between these rivals will take place in Magnitogorsk on March 28.
It is worth noting that Metallurg won the first two matches of the series with a total score of 5:0. The third match went to the Muscovites – 5:2.

The current winner of the Gagarin Cup is CSKA. On the 100th anniversary of its establishment on April 29, 2023, the Ordu team won the cup by winning against Ak Bars Kazan in the seventh match of the final series. CSKA and Ak Bars will no longer be able to compete for the cup this season.
