Roman Kostomarov, the 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing, talked about the idea of ​​​​acting together with his wife Oksana Domnina. His words are quoted Sports24.

“Our dance is about me surviving because of strong women, my strong partner, and having the opportunity to speak and even get on the ice today. At the beginning of January 2023, Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized after New Year’s performances at an open-air show. It was reported that he was in intensive care due to pneumonia and was connected to a ventilator, and his condition was evaluated to be extremely serious. He later received treatment in Kommunarka. Parts of his arms and legs were amputated.

On December 17, 2023, Kostomarov took part in the performance of choreographer Ilya Averbukh “Together and Forever”, moving on ice on skates.
