Russian UFC fighter disqualified due to doping

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Khusein Askhabov has been disqualified for two years for violating the anti-doping policy. This was reported by press service promotion.

The athlete’s sample, taken from the competition in Grozny on February 6, gave positive results for the presence of metandienone metabolites. The 29-year-old fighter has been suspended since February 28.

Khuseyn Askhabov was born in Grozny in 1995. In 2012, he moved to France with his brother Hasan, where he began performing for the Paris club “Gladiator fight”. He made his debut at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on February 19, 2023, where he met Jamal Emmers, to whom he lost by jury decision.

He had his first fights in mixed martial arts in 2013. In his debut match, he defeated Maxim Couzin in the ECSF – Strike Punch Championship tournament. This fight lasted only 40 seconds. Hussein has 24 fights and one defeat.

Hüseyin is the 2011 UKADO world champion, world grappling champion and French MMA champion.
