Olympic ice dancing champion Natalya Bestemyanova criticized Belgian figure skater Luna Hendricks for accusing Russia of doping. His words were quoted “Sports Express”.

“There is a presumption of innocence. And if doping is not detected in Shcherbakova and Trusova, Hendrix could be prosecuted for saying such things about clean athletes. This is nonsense, absolutely inappropriate. He needs to be prosecuted! So let him compete, develop and win. Not anyone else , you have to take care of yourself; this is the principle of great athletes,” said Bestemyanova.

Hendrix was amazed at how Russian figure skaters were able to move on the ice without doping.

On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) found Valieva guilty of doping and disqualified the athlete. He will not be able to compete in tournaments until December 2025. In addition, the state cannot train at ice rinks.

On February 7, CAS issued a rationale for Valieva’s case. In addition to the banned trimetazidine, three permitted substances were found in the skater’s blood. These are ecdysterone, hypoxene and L-carnitine. According to the CAS document, the Russian woman took nearly 60 medications and supplements between 2020-2021.

Former figure skater Gallyamov laughed On Belgian Hendrix’s statements about his compatriots.
