Dynamo forward breaks KHL record of 19:33

Dinamo Moscow forward Nikita Gusev broke the Continental Hockey League (KHL) record for most points in a regular season.

The 31-year-old forward made an assist in the match against Admiral Vladivostok. He currently has 86 points (23 goals + 63 assists) in 67 matches. The previous success belonged to Sergei Mozyakin, who completed the regular season at Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the 2016/17 season with 85 points (48+37) after 60 matches.

Gusev broke another KHL record this season; He had previously become the first league player to score 80 points in two regular championships (he scored 82 points in the 2018/2019 season).

Gusev signed a contract with Dynamo before this season. Before that, the striker played for SKA St. He played for St. Petersburg and broke his deal with the club in April 2023.

Gusev played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers from 2019 to 2021.

Gusev is the 2018 Olympic champion as part of the Russian national team.
