Diving athlete Maria Bruenok, who accused coach Pavel Muyakin of harassment, explained why she did not report the expert to the police. His words lead the way “Sports Express”.
“We tried hard to solve this problem, but then I decided to inform the coach and write a statement to the federation. They did not write to the police. If necessary, I will contact law enforcement immediately. However, they thought this was unnecessary and wanted to resolve this quietly and peacefully within our sport. “Unfortunately, it didn’t work,” he said.
Bruenok stated that on January 31, his mentor kissed him on the lips and also sent him erotic messages. Together with his personal trainer, he wrote a statement to the federation against Muyakin. He was suspended from coaching. On January 30, Muyakin visited the pool in Saratov where the athletes were training, which prompted Bruenok to write a statement.
The Russian Diving Federation said it had established a commission to conduct an independent investigation. The 61-year-old expert said Bruenok’s accusations were unfounded.
Bruenok is the laureate of the Russian Championship and a member of the national team.
Previously Bruenok answered to criticism.
