SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg said after the Continental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match against Avangard that Omsk club coach Mikhail Kravets was responsible for the injury of Army forward Sergei Tolchinsky. His words are quoted by the KHL press service.

“Despite fatigue, we played a good game and showed character. Somewhere the opponent was fresher. As soon as the opponent went to “kill” Tolchinsky, I think this was the order of Mikhail Kravets, who did the same things at SKA. This is not right. Why are his players on the ice ” “Let’s kill”? We should play hockey,” Rotenberg said.

Tolchinsky was injured by Nikita Kholodilin’s hard lunge at the end of the second period, and the Avangard striker received only a two-minute penalty.

The match played at G-Drive Arena in Omsk ended with the home team leading 9:5. Among the winners, Reed Boucher (three times), Ivan Igumnov (twice), Igor Martynov, Tomas Yurcho and Ivan Nikolishin scored.

Arseniy Gritsyuk, Marat Khairullin, Vasily Glotov, Pavel Dedunov and Stepan Falkovsky scored goals for SKA.

Previously Boucher hit KHL record among foreigners.
