Barcelona head coach Xavi has said he should leave the Catalan club because he has failed to achieve his goals. His words are quoted Mundo Deportivo.
“If we cannot achieve our goals, I will have to leave. When I joined the club, we had a good season and achieved our goals. The second season was very good.
We cannot meet expectations in the third season either. But there is also La Liga and the Champions League.
I said what President Laporta said a month ago. I’m not going because of the press or psychological problems. The club needs to change its course,” said Xavi.
On January 27, in the 22nd round match of the Spanish Championship, Barcelona lost at home to Villarreal (3:5). After the match, Xavi announced that he would step down as head coach of the Blaugrana at the end of the season.
