Yuri Semin, former head coach of Lokomotiv and the Russian national team, explained the media coverage of his remarks about the low football intelligence of railway captain Dmitry Barinov. His words are quoted Sports24.
“I wasn’t talking about intelligence; the conversation was about Barinov’s technique. But I will not discuss this publicly,” Semin said.
Commentator Gennady Orlov had previously admitted that in a private conversation, Semin had stated that Barinov lacked football intelligence.
