CSKA Moscow’s Brazilian defender Willian Rocha talked about how the army team can win in the Russian Premier League (RPL), but noted that it is too early to talk about who will win the championship. His words guide the way “Sports Express”.
“The quality and desires of the players are important; we have these elements. We must go into every match with full concentration, dedication and the desire to win. This is how CSKA will be able to achieve its main goal: to win the gold medal in the Russian Championship. Rocha said: “We just have to do our job; “We have to move from game to game,” he said.
Rocha played 15 matches for CSKA in the Russian Premier League (RPL) this season and received six yellow cards and one red card.
Rocha signed a contract with the Moscow club on September 1, 2022. The agreement is valid until the end of the 2024/25 season and includes an option to extend for another season.
The defender made his debut for the army team ten days after signing the contract in the RPL match against Krasnodar. Rocha scored his first goal for CSKA in the Russian Cup match against Ural Yekaterinburg on September 14, and his first goal in the national championship on October 8, 2023, in the capital’s match against Dynamo.
After the first part of the RPL season, CSKA took seventh place in the standings, having collected 28 points.
