NHL to raise salary cap next season

According to the collective agreement in the 2022/23 season in the National Hockey League (NHL) clubs, the upper limit of the salary will be 82.5 million dollars and the minimum limit will be 61 million dollars.

It is worth noting that since the 2019/20 season, the ceiling is 81.5 million dollars.According to the regulations, the wage standard of hockey clubs in the Continental Hockey League (KHL) in the 2021/2022 season is set in the amount of 315 million rubles. According to the schedule for the 2022/2023 season, an increase to 405 million rubles is planned.

The new NHL regular season will begin on October 11, 2022.

Recall that the NHL started the 2021/22 season on October 12 and for the first time since the 2018/19 season was able to play a full 82 game schedule after the last two seasons were cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The league is currently in its final series. The playoffs are played by Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning. In the first match, Avalanche won, and the team’s Russian striker Valery Nichushkin scored one goal and one assist.
