CSKA Moscow defenseman Artem Barabosha and Ekaterinburg Avtomobilist forward Brooks Maysek got into a fight during the regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
Barabosha, 19, tripped the Avtomobilist hockey player and the 31-year-old German sided with his teammate. Both hockey players dropped their gloves and the Russian emerged victorious from the shootout. He delivered a series of precise blows to his opponent’s head, sending him crashing to the ice. Both players were given a 5-minute penalty. Barabossa was also given a two-minute minor penalty for tripping and falling.
The match played at Uralets stadium in Yekaterinburg ended with Avtomobilist winning with a score of 3:2. Brooks Macek, Andrey Obidin and Denis Barantsev scored the goals for the home team. The guest team scored goals from Vladislav Kamenev and Konstantin Okulov.
CSKA (56 points) is in seventh place in the Western Conference standings with its second consecutive defeat, while Avtomobilist (64) is in fourth place in the East.
